•Dietrich (1851): Described Zamia skinneri using Warszewicz’s field notes from his 1850 trek into “Veraguas”
•Seemann (1857): Presented reports from Yates (UK), who received a living Z. skinneri plant from Warszewicz in 1850
•Van Houtte (1875): Published a color lithograph of Zamia skinneri in Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l’Europe
•Dressler (1984): Stated that the larger-leafleted, red-emergent plants are a “perfect match” for Warszewicz’s sketch/description and that the smaller, green-emergent plants from Bocas del Toro are distinctly different
•Stevenson & Sabato (1986): Lectotypified Warszewicz’s drawing of Zamia skinneri (in absence of original voucher)
•Stevenson (1993): Described Zamia neurophyllidia and
Z. dressleri
